About
The Big Frogs of Darwin are absolutely ribbiting roadside attractions with Hollywood flair! These colourful fibreglass amphibians squat proudly outside the Ramada Suites near Darwin's waterfront, each with their own star personality--meet Ribbet Redford and Dennis Hopper, the two charming croakers who have become icons of the Top End's quirky Big Things collection. Originally crafted at Get Stoned Masonry before settling into their permanent gig in Darwin, these cheeky critters showcase the creative spirit that defines this Northern Territory city. Their identical sisters--Sandra Bullfrog and Lillypad Allen--hopped off to the Territory Wildlife Park, but Ribbet and Dennis remain the stars of the Darwin show. These vibrant green and colourful sculptures have become beloved photo stops for road trip adventurers, perfectly capturing the fun and whimsy that makes Australia's Big Things so memorable. Don't miss grabbing a photo with these bright-eyed hoppers!
Fun Fact
These frog sculptures were individually named with famous actor references--Ribbet Redford and Dennis Hopper. The original Get Stoned Masonry created multiple frog sculptures, with some now located at Territory Wildlife Park, making them a distributed Big Things family across the Top End.
